What do you tell yourself to get motivated?

Gang Gang…16-rainy-cold-miles today with a couple of summits and 4,000-feet of climbing. Did similar climbing yesterday with less miles as we’re trying to get some durability on these legs with slower grinding on dirt, mud and rocks. LFG

Gang gang….my family had so much fun watching @theovon absolutely crush it tonight at Matt Knight Arena. What a show, and talent which might both be overshadowed by Theo’s thoughtfulness and generosity. Thank you brother. 🙏 And, @leekimbrellcomedy & @amircomedy you two were amazing and so funny. 18 mile tempo run with @cameronrhanes Every time I run with my dad, he absolutely sons me. Despite me being in alleged “better shape” based on our marathon times, he leads from the front every run we go on together. The old man strength comes in many forms apparently, even endurance. At this pace, he would PR his all-time marathon time by 5 minutes. We even started out with a 7:30 mile to “warm-up” and the average pace still came out to 6:19 per mile. We are both running the Boston marathon next month and if it’s anything like today, I’m in trouble for the Hanes family marathon title and my dad is getting an all-time PR. Hope both happen
