Designed to mimic one of the most common bait species along the east coast, the Mulletron Loose Body replicates the profile and swimming action of a mullet and can be rigged a number of different ways. Here are three of our favorite rigging options! For super shallow fishing or around lots of grass, we feel like the ZWG is the best weedless option! The ZWG has two custom keepers that keep the nose and back of the bait pinned securely in place when you’re making long casts on the flats or skipping under docks or mangroves. We like using the 3/0 hook for the 3.3” and the 4/0 hook for the 4”. When fishing deeper or more open water, we like reaching for the Swimbait Eye jighead. The oversized 3D eyes give predator fish something to key in on and the exposed heavy duty VMC hooks give you a great hookup ratio. These jigheads come in a wide array of weights, colors and sizes for a wide variety of scenarios. The Texas Eye Jighead may be our favorite option because it combines the best of both worlds! The Texas Eye features a weedless heavy duty 3/0 VMC EWG hook built on a swinging jighead. The swinging head gives the bait a great swimming action and also allows the bait to stay deeper in the water column. The weedless EWG allows you to put this bait in places that would be difficult with an exposed jighead. All of these are great options, but which one will you reach for first?
