We gonna match. • Me and my squallet! 🤣🫶🙌 • Y’all love her as do I! • Or maybe you love to hate her… • As do I. 🤣 • At first, you told me she needed a strap. • And I agreed and made her one! See?! • Then you said she needed a gem on her tooth. • Just like me. • And I also…agreed! • So that’s what we’re doing today! • And what better day to share how I apply my teeth gems than on a #farmfashionfriday! • Thanks to my volunteer, too, I have a step by step tutorial below! • My original tooth gem kit was by @twinklesdentaljewelry and I purchased the professional kit for myself back when I was turning 40 and freaking out about it. 🤣 • I thought I’d get a custom grill and some sparkles for my teeth to ease me into this new decade- and I did and it helped. I highly recommend it. 🤣🫶🙌 • I only use @swarovski crystals and gold in my mouth- and the stuff to apply the gems is basically a dental grade epoxy that surely isn’t toxic-free so take note of that. • The gems I apply, if I’m careful to adhere them appropriately, following the steps closely, tend to last several months and then fall off on their own with time. • This isn’t for everybody, but it is surely for me, my dentist approves, and they’re great conversation starters. • Now here’s how to apply- Step 1- dry the tooth off good and get your lip out of the way (I use cotton rolls for this part) Step 2- apply the first product which is an “etching gel”. This “roughens” the surface of the tooth, allowing a good adhesion. Step 3- wipe the etching gel off and ensure the surface of the tooth is still dry. Step 4- apply the second product which is the bonder. Step 5- hit that product with your dental curing light for 20 seconds (ensuring proper eye protection is worn) Step 6- next, apply the final product, the composite. Step 7- apply the gemstone selected. Step 8- cure the gemstone with the dental light again for another 20 seconds. Step 9- done! I avoid eating or drinking for 30 minutes afterwards and then am good to go! • Tips/notes: I like to whiten my teeth before application. • Disclaimer: I also didn’t best to bleep out the bad words. 🤣 But the song is too good to not use.
