In 1979, we purchased the van in this photo to keep up with the growing demand of our successful merchandise program. It all began in 1974, when we started selling stickers and keychains from the back of a station wagon. Just a few years later, it was clear we needed a bigger solution. Bruce & Marylon Cole and Jerry & Rae Ambach took turns touring with the corps, helping run the operation, and laying the groundwork for what would eventually become The Phan Shop.
