One of the first flea markets I’ve done was @cleanslateswapmeet in San Diego in 2018 when Slow Jamz was first starting out. We’d sell a bunch of samples and tees for as low as $10 to young college kids and really build our foundation to our community. I’ve been bugging @veeejzilla to bring this to LA, so we figured out how we can make this even sweeter — let’s build something for the people, by the people. Clean Slate 2.0 will be our maiden voyage into a mutual aid & community resource market, offering swap & trades (clothes, books, records, art), a low-cost market from great vendors (with nothing over $40), & low-cost services (photo headshots, tailoring, plant services, embroidery, etc.). Bring things to trade (lightly used, clean, etc.), tote bags to bring home all your goods, and an open mind! Our event will be on 4/20 from 11am-4pm at @slowjamzgallery and it is a free, all-ages event.
