💕💕 The craziest thing happened this week… While sitting at a restaurant out of town this week, something unexpected caught my heart. At the table next to us, a father shared his testimony of Jesus Christ with his adult son. His voice was steady and gentle but full of conviction. You could tell this man had walked with the Savior through hard things. His testimony wasn’t rehearsed or showy—it was real. But his son… didn’t believe. There was a pause. A silence that felt heavy. 
But the father didn’t argue. He said, with quiet faith, that he knew Jesus Christ lives. That the Savior had carried him through moments no one else saw. And in that moment, my heart burned with the same truth:
Jesus Christ lives. As the father stood to leave, he glanced over and saw me and my daughter sitting nearby, wearing our Team Jesus sweatshirts. There was no need for words. He gave a small smile, and we held each other’s gaze for a moment. Different states. Different churches. Different lives. 
But in that moment, we were one in Christ. I’ll never forget it. The love of Jesus Christ is powerful. It brings peace in silence, hope in waiting, and unity across every kind of difference. We don’t need the same background, experiences, or beliefs to feel the Spirit testify that He is real. The Lord said, “Be one; and if ye are not one ye are not mine” (Doctrine and Covenants 38:27). Being one in Christ doesn’t mean we’re all the same—it means we choose love. We choose compassion. 
We choose faith, even when it’s hard. So if you’re waiting on a loved one to believe, don’t lose hope.
