TAIWAN PART 1: We recently took the kids on their very first trip to Taiwan to visit their grandparents, see all the sights, eat all the food, and - in between the jetlag - re-live childhood memories that my wife grew up experiencing that she’s introduced to me over the years. This must have been my 6th or 7th time going back, and every single time we visit, I’m blown away by the warmth and generosity of the people, and of course the incredible food, from traditional dishes to the night markets and all the modern spots that are popping up. There’s endless inspiration, everywhere (especially for @papadamournyc ) I loved watching Celian and Mei Mei experience it all for the first time. They are both so proud to be Taiwanese and couldn’t get enough of the sights and sounds - in fact, if you ask Celian what his favorite food is, these days he’ll probably say “lu rou fan” (braised Taiwanese pork over rice).
