@einar_selvik joined @metalhammeruk on a foraging expedition in East-London, diving further into Birna, the she-bear as a way of telling a story about the cyclic movements of nature and our relationship to it. “What is it with the bear that makes it so prominent in people’s lives, apart from it being a big, beautiful animal? Of course, it mirrors the movement we see in nature. The seasons, the life, death and rebirth of Mother Nature, that’s what we see with the bear: hibernation. That’s what we see with the salmon swimming upstream in the river to the place they were born to spawn and die. That’s beautiful poetry. That is basically what I wanted to paint the picture of. These movements that we see and how they connect.” We will be heading out on our UK and Ireland tour in a few days. Our new album features some guest musicians and we were honored to have Mouth-harp maestro Kenneth Lien (@nightmasta) perform on the song "Tretale". The studio session took place in Oslo in the studio cave of our friends from @kalandramusic where Florian Winter and Jogeir Daae Mæland engineered the recordings. Having only recently announced the second part of our World Tour, the response has been incredible. Tickets to several shows are selling fast, and our first ever concert in Porto, Portugal has already sold out. Moreover, due to overwhelming demand, we added a show in the Moore Theater in Seattle on September 13. We thank you for the continuous support. Tickets for this show will go on sale this Friday, at 10 AM local time. There are a handful of tickets left for the concert on 09/14.
